ancub artin's Room
Okay, think of this as a work in progress. Mancub's room is pretty much been put together. I say pretty much because he doesn't have his computer yet, no digital surround sound system for nursery songs, and the room to room remote control model train transport system hasn't been installed yet. However, he has a comfy bed, warm surroundings, toys and animals to play with, and two loving parents to keep him clean and entertained.

Posterization is not what teenagers do to their bedroom walls. (That's called vandalism.) Posterization is a photography technique that changes the color pixel calibration just enough to both look cool and hurt your eyes. Now that we know more about that, know that the Sony digital cameras do this for you and that's why my pictures look 'extra neato'!

The baby crib is in the far corner, decorated with white covers and a soft blue bumper pad. The valance over the window matches the blue of the bumper.

The antique dresser (it was Amy's) has been decorated with primary colored knobs. The bed quilt has matching reds and blues on a white background.

A collection of new and old toys fill Mancub's toy shelf. I'm told that toy shelves stay neat and tidy as small children grow up. (HA!)

Notice that the books are on the bottom shelf. He'll probably want to get to the books first, before he learns to play with noisy toys. His first baby album (not counting his online photo album) is on the bottom shelf as well. It was handmade by my student Joy and her mom.

To the left of the toy shelf is Mancub's closet. It holds a large assortment of diapers at the present time in anticipation of the waterworks to come. Many generous gifts of clothing hang in the closet or rest in the dresser under the window.

The changing table, a converted sewing table, waits patiently between the crib and the closet. The diaper shoot has yet to be drilled through the exterior house wall. So for now, the disposal system rests under the changing table.

Next week on "Martha Stewart Visits", we'll browse the kitchen cabinet and see the wonders inside and how they are neatly organized and clean. But until then, as if that will ever happen, enjoy the rest of Mancub's site.
